Twitter Extends 140 Characters Limit per Tweet
Twitter Extends 140 Characters Limit per Tweet – photos, videos, GIFs, polls, and Quote Tweets no longer count.
Twitter tweeted on Monday tweeted that it will be expanding the number of things you can post in a tweet. The 140 characters limit has not been increased but now @names in replies and media attachments (like photos, GIFs, videos, and polls) will no longer count towards your 140 characters.
Sadly, links still eat into your character limit.
According to TechCrunch, Tweeter’s goal with its departure from the 140 characters(which has been a defining feature since its inception) is to make the service easier to use.
So has the ease on the character limit made the service easier for you or even better?
