Microsoft has set out to reward people who use its new Edge browser.

CNET in its report stated that  almost three-quarters of Windows 10 users are not using the new operating system’s default Edge browser. So Microsoft is now paying them to make the switch.

Microsoft will now automatically upgrade your Pc to windows 10

This is a way by which Microsoft intends to get more people to use its Edge browser as a lot of people are not using it. Once upon a time Microsoft ruled the browser game with Internet Explorer, Edge’s forefather.  However, over the years Internet Explorer decreased in usage as other options like Google’s Chrome and Mozilla’s Firefox rose to eminence and Internet Explorer failed to keep up.

Microsoft Buys LinkedIn

Microsoft Rewards, announced that it is a re-branding of Bing Rewards, which gave people points for using Bing as their search engine. The new program, so far only available in the US, offers points for using Edge and Bing, as well as shopping at the Microsoft store.

The points gotten can then be traded in for vouchers or credits to places like Amazon, Starbucks, Skype and the ad-free version of Outlook.com.

To get  paid for using Microsoft’s Edge Browser you MUST make Microsoft’s Bing your default search engine.

In an effort to convince Windows 10 users to switch to Edge as their browser, Microsoft has resorted to efforts like comparing battery rundown test and proving how Edge lasts significantly longer than the competition.
